New Releases from Noble Audio: Shogun and Agis II

The Dr.Head team continues to cover the most interesting events of the High End Munich 2025 exhibition, and today our attention was drawn to the Noble Audio stand with two new products: Shogun and Agis II. Both embody cutting-edge technology, impeccable build quality, and the unique sound that fans cherish from the "Wizard" himself – Dr. John Moulton.
Noble Shogun
The Noble Shogun represents the company’s latest engineering pinnacle, a new 13-driver flagship. It’s designed for those seeking maximum detail and natural sound.
Driver Configuration
The model features a hybrid system with four types of drivers: one 10mm dynamic driver for low frequencies, six balanced armature drivers for mids, four electrostatic drivers for highs, and two bone conduction drivers that add spatial depth and tactile sensation during listening. Dr. Moulton personally tunes all Noble models to achieve perfect sound.
Housing and Accessories
All this is housed in a 3D-printed resin shell inspired by traditional Japanese culture, featuring striking black and red accents. The stunning faceplate showcases the elaborate armor of the Tokugawa Shogunate era, making it one of the most complex and beautiful headphone housings ever seen.
The headphones come with a premium balanced cable made from silver, copper, platinum, and gold.
Sound
Noble’s flagships always tell an interesting story: just when it seems impossible to improve, a new model proves otherwise. The Shogun sounds as impressive as it looks, with perfectly clear mids, well-defined highs, and a punchy, sometimes physically felt bass. These headphones perform as a true flagship should-immersing you in music and giving you goosebumps. Pure delight!
Noble Agis II – Evolution of a Legend
The Agis II is an updated version of the iconic Spartacus model, featuring several technical enhancements and refinements. Its new driver configuration and optimized acoustics make it even more versatile and suitable for a wide range of music genres.
What's Inside?
Compared to its predecessor, the Agis II adds two balanced armature drivers, resulting in an 8-driver hybrid setup: six balanced armatures and two bone conduction drivers. Like the Shogun, the Agis II was personally tuned by John Moulton to reflect his vision of perfect sound.
Housing and Accessories
The resin housing is ergonomically shaped to fit comfortably even smaller ears, providing excellent passive noise isolation. The faceplate combines fine metal mesh and resin to create a unique pattern that looks stunning in person.
The package includes an 8-core copper cable with interchangeable connectors (2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm).
Sound
Designed for versatility like the Spartacus, the Agis II confidently handles nearly all music genres. If you think balanced armature IEMs lack bass, the Agis II will change your mind. The bass is tight and precise, with depth and volume enhanced by the bone conduction drivers. These headphones are ideal for all but the most bass-heavy music styles, which they handle less well. For other genres, they perform superbly.
Conclusion
The Noble Shogun and Agis II represent two outstanding members of the new generation of in-ear monitors, showcasing Noble Audio’s commitment to innovation and excellence. Both models are already available for testing at Dr.Head, and if you'd like to add them to your collection, make sure you placed an order.
