ddHiFi Drops New IEMs & Cable at HIGH END Vienna 2026

Chinese audio accessory masters ddHiFi made their first appearance at the HIGH END exhibition, and they did not come empty-handed.

To celebrate their debut, the brand dropped two major flagship releases: the incredibly complex Eryx IEM cable (available in two acoustic flavors) and the Memory planar in-ear monitors, a collaboration with MoonDrop.

Both of these releases are already available for order at Dr.Head. Let’s break down exactly what makes these new drops so special.

A Quick Word on ddHiFi

If you know portable audio, you know ddHiFi (the same as if you read our article on the brand). They have built a rock-solid reputation for creating ridiculously high-quality, no-nonsense accessories, from ultra-compact DACs to bomb-proof adapters. Their gear is known for raw engineering, premium materials, and zero gimmicks.

But with these new releases, ddHiFi is stepping out of the "accessory" zone and planting their flag firmly in flagship territory.

The Eryx Flagship IEM Cable: Maximum Potential

ddHiFi Eryx and Memory

The Eryx isn't just a cable; it’s a highly engineered acoustic tool designed to squeeze every last drop of performance out of your premium IEMs.

Core Construction

At its heart, the Eryx features a 4-wire hybrid conductor that blends four completely different premium materials:

  • German Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC)
  • Monocrystalline Copper (OCC)
  • Gold-plated Monocrystalline Copper
  • High-purity Silver

Why the crazy mix? It’s all about balance. The copper variants deliver that thick, punchy, and full-bodied low end, while the high-purity silver injects speed, detail, and airy high frequencies. To keep the signal flawless, the splitter and plug housings are crafted from titanium alloy and natural red sandalwood, which naturally dampens micro-vibrations.

It also features the proprietary Nyx-Pin interchangeable connector system, making it universally compatible right out of the box (which includes standard MMCX and two variations of 0.78mm 2-Pin connectors).

RhP vs. OFC

While the actual cable wire is the same, ddHiFi offers two different 4.4mm balanced plugs that fundamentally alter the sound signature:

  • Eryx RhP: Features a Rhodium-plated copper plug. Rhodium is highly durable and chemically inert. In the audiophile world, it’s prized for delivering a hyper-fast, neutral, and uncolored signal. Get this if you want absolute studio precision.
  • Eryx OFC: Features a Gold-plated OFC plug manufactured by the legendary Japanese brand Pentaconn. This setup naturally delivers a warmer, richer, and more musical sound with a velvety texture. Get this if you want a smoother, more emotive listening experience.

The Memory Planar IEMs: Retro Vibes Meet MoonDrop Tech

ddHiFi Eryx and Memory

The Memory series marks ddHiFi’s very first dive into planar magnetic earphones, co-engineered with the beloved brand MoonDrop. While they rock an undeniably cool retro aesthetic (complete with a killer cassette-player-styled carrying case), the real magic is inside.

The Engine

Both versions of the Memory are powered by a massive 13mm annular planar driver, complete with a dual-suspension system and a powerhouse magnetic array. This gives you the classic planar experience: lightning-fast transient response, zero distortion, and insane micro-detail.

Unlike many planar IEMs that require a nuclear reactor to power them, the Memory boasts a 121 dB sensitivity and a low 16-Ohm impedance. They are incredibly easy to drive and will sound fantastic straight out of most modern portable players and dongle DACs.

Palladium vs. Aluminum

The internals are identical, but the housing material changes everything — from the weight to the acoustic resonance.

  • Memory Pd4.4: The housing is machined from pure copper and heavily plated in Palladium. It is dense, heavy, and incredibly effective at killing unwanted internal resonance. This version delivers a thick, highly controlled, and authoritative sound.
  • Memory AL4.4: The housing is crafted from aviation-grade AL6063 aluminum alloy. Weighing in at a mere 25 grams, these practically disappear in your ears, making them the ultimate choice for marathon listening sessions. The lighter aluminum shell also gives the sound a slightly brighter, airier tint.

The Dr.Head Verdict

The Eryx cable is an absolute dream for hardcore IEM owners who want to meticulously tweak their final sound signature — whether leaning into clinical accuracy with the RhP or warm musicality with the OFC.

Meanwhile, the Memory IEMs are a must-try for anyone chasing that fast, ultra-detailed planar sound in a highly stylish package. Go for the Palladium if you want premium weight and dense acoustics, or the Aluminum if all-day comfort is your top priority.
