The fifth generation of the popular wireless speaker has become even better. It now uses the new Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity, whereas the previous generation of Charge speakers used Bluetooth 4.2.
The speaker is fully dust and waterproof according to the IP67 standard. The manufacturer claims that the speaker has achieved "impressive clarity of sound and deep bass."
The JBL Charge 5 is equipped with JBL PartyBoost feature, allowing users to connect multiple JBL speakers together.
The battery life provides up to 20 hours of playback time - a result that no competitor has achieved yet. The design of the Charge 5 remains largely unchanged and still remains recognizable. A pair of silicone bumpers have been added to the side passive radiators to protect the speaker from drops.
