The fifth generation of the popular wireless speaker has become even better. It uses the new Bluetooth 5.1 for connection to a source, compared to the previous generation Charge speakers that worked with Bluetooth 4.2.
The speaker is fully dust and waterproof according to IP67 standard. The manufacturer claims that the speaker has "impressive clarity of sound and deep bass."
JBL Charge 5 is equipped with JBL PartBoost feature, allowing the user to connect multiple JBL speakers together.
The playback time is 20 hours autonomously - the company has not made any changes at this moment, however, no competitor has achieved such a result yet.
The design of Charge 5 has not undergone significant changes, it is still recognizable. A pair of silicone bumpers are added to the side passive radiators to protect the speaker from falls.
