The Telefunken M81 microphone is the next step in the development of TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik's dynamic microphone series. It not only complements the M80 perfectly but also stands out in the vast universe of dynamic microphones, offering a superb alternative to the "standard dynamic microphone" in the mid-price range. Its unique frequency response and high sound pressure level make the M81 exceptional for miking electric guitar amps, percussion, toms, and brass instruments. The microphone's wide range of uses and high reliability make it a workhorse for the new generation of musicians and vocalists.
Sharing many features with the M80, the M81 maintains the same minimal proximity effect, feedback resistance, and mid-frequency articulation. However, the M81's frequency response in the upper midrange is flatter, giving the sound more "body" and clarity and making it ideal for bright vocals. M80-WH, M80-WHB, and M81-WH are designed for use with Shure Axient, UHF-R, ULX-D, QLX-D, ULX-S, SLX, PG, and PGX wireless transmitters (excluding PGXD). They are not compatible with BLX or GLXD wireless transmitters. In addition, M80-WH, M80-WHB, and M81-WH also work well with Lectrosonic and Sony wireless transmitters.
