Teenage Engineering TX-6 is an ultra-portable mixer with 6 stereo channels and an audio interface with 12 mono channels, a built-in synthesizer, sequencer, and tuner, as well as connections to iOS devices, Bluetooth, a built-in battery, and reassignable control organs.
In terms of functionality, the TX-6 can be compared to larger devices, but with more technologies packed into one durable small device. Mix 6 input stereo channels, use tempo synchronization, explore the built-in synthesizer and sequencer, or use the built-in tuner, with MFi compatibility allowing you to connect to your iOS devices.
The TX-6 features a 6-channel stereo mixer with customizable knobs. Adjust the three-band equalizer or assign each knob to control the settings you prefer. The TX-6 offers many features and connectivity options beyond what meets the eye. The device operates on a battery for approximately 8 hours, with the display automatically entering sleep mode for energy efficiency, while the brightness of the LEDs is fully adjustable.
The TX-6 also functions as a portable synthesizer and sequencer with 4 waveform generator shapes and 4 synthesized drum sounds. Explore effects like reverb, chorus, delay, as well as creative effects like freeze, tape, filter, and distortion. Additionally, each channel has a three-band equalizer and adjustable compressor.
The TX-6 is a sturdy little machine housed in an aluminum casing, with custom encoders and faders, as well as a custom circuit board. High-quality slim cables with a narrow profile allow you to use all 6 channels simultaneously. Connect the audio output via a 3.5mm mini-jack or use the included adapter from a 6.3mm to 3.5mm mini-jack connector.
With Bluetooth, you can use the TX-6 as a wireless controller for other Bluetooth MIDI devices or trigger and sync the built-in synthesizer and sequencer from other sources.
Use the TX-6 as a 12-channel audio interface and connect to any DAW via USB-C. MFi also allows you to connect to iOS devices. Rotate the TX-6 horizontally and use it as a DJ mixer. Turn channel 1 into a fader to smoothly transition between channels 5 and 6.
