The Teenage Engineering PO-16 synthesizer is small enough to fit in your pocket and runs on a pair of AAA batteries. It is equipped with multiple real synthesizer engines, including FM, subtractive synthesis, wavetable, and physically modeled strings with 16 effect types such as delay, bit crushing, and filters. It also includes 16 arpeggio and chord play styles. Punch-in play styles are a quick way to create melodies by minimizing the effort of inputting a full series of notes in a sequence, simply by adding one or more notes and letting the input function fill in the options for the next notes.
The synthesizer parameters can be locked, and an automatic compressor and hardware limiter ensure adequate signal generation without distortion. The 16-step sequencer has 16 available patterns, with up to 16 patterns that can be chained together. Built-in clock and alarm expand the creative possibilities of the instrument. The jam sync feature with 3.5mm audio inputs allows multiple synthesizer devices to be connected to each other.
The synthesizer is made of high-quality components with low power consumption and features a Silabs EFM 32 Gecko processor, Cirrus Logic DAC, and Knowles speaker located under a new animated LCD display on a single circuit board. The folding stand facilitates playback, and soldered speaker jacks on the back panel allow the device to be connected to a larger sound system.
The optional custom-made pro silicone case (sold separately) gives this unique music-making device non-slip feet, battery protection, and professional-grade button protection.
