The subwoofer is equipped with a single 8-inch diameter conical woofer, which is paired with a built-in 50W (100W peak) amplifier. Classic phase-inverted cabinet complements the powerful sound and allows to reproduce the “bottom” with good response and high detailing of even the most subtle nuances of sound. Yamaha's Advanced YST II (Yamaha Active Servo Technology II) utilizes a negative impedance and DC mechanism to more effectively control the driver cone. Using Advanced Negative Impedance Converter (ANIC) circuitry, this system dynamically optimizes the effective impedance of the driver, thereby improving linearity.
