The tonearm comes with the Pick it S2 C cartridge from Pro-Ject out of the box, but the S-shaped tonearm can be connected to any removable SME shell for quick and easy cartridge replacement. In addition, tracking force and anti-skate are fully adjustable, ensuring perfect alignment and playback.
The high-mass glass platter gives the product style and originality, while the use of aluminum material improves tolerances in production and provides a dazzling appearance. The platter adds additional mass to the entire disc drive system; resulting in additional noise and resonance damping.
The key advantage of the ultra-precise sub-platter and supreme super-platter is a noticeable improvement in short-term speed stability (also known as "wow and flutter"). Of course, stability in all areas is the most important characteristic of a superb sounding vinyl system. Therefore, Pro-Ject equips the Metallica turntable with height-adjustable sturdy metal feet to keep it level on any surface.
Speed is electronically adjustable with precision, meaning accurate and stable speed, while the toggle switch allows easy switching between 33 and 45 revolutions per minute. The package includes a belt for playing old records at 78 revolutions per minute.
