The converter uses two PCM-1792 chips (one for each channel) and has a switchable tube/transistor output, as well as unbalanced and balanced analog outputs. The sampling frequency and input signal type are displayed on the front panel of the device using LED indicators.
The Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS can be used with any digital source in a home audio system. It features a USB input for connecting to PC or streamer transports to achieve unmatched sound quality. The device supports data processing in high-resolution formats. Additionally, the Pro-Ject DAC Box RS is equipped with AES/EBU input and I²S/Master Clock outputs, which can be used for connection to the CD transport CD Box RS, as well as other compatible devices.
The Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS model utilizes high-class PCM 1792 DACs (one per channel) and provides two different digital filter settings for optimal sound quality. It also features tube and solid-state output stages (with switchable options) to cater to each user's preferred sound character.
The sound circuitry of the Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS is characterized by ultra-low noise and high linearity, as well as very low output impedance.
