Lu Ban are the latest hybrid earphones from Noble Audio, combining natural materials and advanced driver technologies to achieve a balanced high-resolution sound.
Drivers
At their core is a 10mm dynamic driver with a wooden composite diaphragm, delivering deep controlled bass and rich mid frequencies with superior tonal richness. In combination with two new Super-Magnetic planar drivers, Lu Ban adds speed, clarity, and precise high-frequency extension, creating a musical and detailed presentation.
The result is a harmonious hybrid tuning with strong low frequencies, realistic vocals, and clean, airy high frequencies. The 10mm dynamic driver with a wooden composite diaphragm provides deep, controlled, and textured bass to Lu Ban earphones. The sub-bass extends confidently without lingering reverberation, while the mid-bass remains articulate and balanced. Additionally, the manufacturer notes that "vocals retain body and presence" and "acoustic instruments convey natural decay and weight".
The planar drivers use Super-Magnetic architecture, featuring a "new generation neodymium-iron-boron material with ultra-high magnetic energy." It is claimed that this magnetic system provides faster transient response, improved micro-detail retrieval, and higher accuracy in the upper frequency range.
Acoustic Chamber
Noble also employs an in-set acoustic chamber with spikes inside Lu Ban to control internal resonance. The chamber has an irregular diffusion structure designed to reduce standing waves created by internal sound reflections. A spiral airflow guide is used in the front to reduce unwanted noise levels and help maintain phase coherence. From a practical standpoint, the chamber is intended to improve control within the housing so that drivers can work with fewer interferences from reflections, resonance, and airflow issues.
Each housing is made of cocobolo wood and resin with precise 3D printing, providing durability and a unique finish.
Included with the Noble Audio Lu Ban in-ear headphones are a 4-wire silver-plated OCC cable (0.78mm 2-pin, 4.4mm plug with copper gold-plated coating), a storage and carrying case, and 9 pairs of interchangeable tips.
