What started as a passion project for Moondrop in 2015 has since flourished beyond their wildest dreams. Unable to find satisfying flat-headed earbuds, Moondrop launched their first flagship model, Liebesleid, in 2017. After two additional years of development, they introduced the groundbreaking Chaconne earbuds.
In celebration of their 10th anniversary, Moondrop proudly introduces Pavane, marking the dawn of a new era for flagship flat-headed earbuds with a bold redefinition of excellence.

Redefining Classics
Pavane builds on Leibesleid’s remarkable industrial design, replacing the heavy brass with a lighter, more durable stainless steel. Through turning, milling, and polishing, Moondrop refines their signature industrial aesthetic. At the same time, they introduce new drivers and materials, blending modern craftsmanship with timeless design to create a redefined classic.
New 13.5mm Dynamic Driver
Pavane features a newly designed 13.5mm ultra-high performance dynamic driver. This driver has been optimized through years of experience and extensive finite element situations. It utilizes an external magnetic structure with an N55 magnet, known for its ultra-high magnetic density. This design leads to excellent energy conversion efficiency, long stroke capability and high dynamics.
Third Generation DLC Dome Composite Diaphragm
The Pavane features a third-generation DLC dome composite diaphragm, combining a DLC dome with two materials of distinct properties for exceptional rigidity, high damping, and low weight. Its acoustic performance is so advanced that it can even outperform a beryllium metal diaphragm.
To surpass the acoustic performance of Chaconne and Leibesleid, the diaphragm was specially designed through a deep analysis of material properties. It was then fine-tuned to optimize its vibration mode, backed by extensive experimentation. The result is a more refined listening experience with enhanced treble extension, a denser midrange, and more powerful bass.
Powerful Performance
Pavane's third-generation DLC dome coating technology, combined with the N55 external magnetic structure, achieves remarkably high sensitivity without altering the driver size. This innovation not only surpasses the performance of available flat-headed earbuds but also demonstrates ultra-low nonlinear distortion.
With the assistance of the B&K5128 and years of theoretical and acoustic tuning experience from Moondrop, Pavane offers a unique, full, and elegant timbre expression. It moves away from the stuffy and harsh sounds typically associated with traditional flat-headed earbuds, returning to the golden age of Moondrop tuning. Every note is delivered clearly, allowing for an exceptional listening experience.
Single Crystal Copper Silver-Plated Cable
To preserve Pavane's classic and elegant design aesthetics, Moondrop has opted for a non-interchangeable cable. The cable is made from specially selected high-quality single crystal copper and features a silver-plated Litz structure. Additionally, it includes two high-precision plugs: 4.4mm and 3.5mm, to accommodate different needs and ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices.
