MoonDrop Meteor embodies advanced hybrid technology in the segment of in-ear monitors. Each earphone contains seven drivers: one 13mm dynamic driver with N52 magnet and composite diaphragm for low frequencies, two balanced armature drivers for mid frequencies, and four micro-planar drivers for high frequencies.

Moondrop engineers have incorporated patented XTM Complex Technology in the Meteor - a three-way crossover that divides the frequency range between the drivers with minimal distortion. The passive acoustic filter in a 3D-printed chamber effectively suppresses resonances in the 4.7 - 7.2 kHz range, eliminating potential sharpness and sibilance.
The Meteor housing is made of semi-transparent black resin with metal inserts using DLP-3D printing. The model's distinguishing feature is the meteorite panel on the faceplate, functioning as a vibration damper for the dynamic driver.
Impressive technical specifications include an impedance of 18.5 ohms (±15%), sensitivity of 120 dB/V, extended frequency range of 9 Hz - 35 kHz with harmonic distortion coefficient not exceeding 0.6%. The package includes a detachable hybrid cable made of copper and silver-plated wires with 0.78mm connectors and interchangeable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs.
The sound signature of the Meteor is characterized by detailed bass with a slow sub-bass decay and fast, accurate mid-bass. The mid frequencies demonstrate a warm, natural timbre with an intimate vocal delivery. High frequencies smoothly extend up to 35 kHz without sharp peaks, providing natural reproduction of string instruments and cymbals.
Phase coherence across the entire range creates a cohesive sound. The package includes two types of ear tips - Softears UC and classic silicone in three sizes (S/M/L), allowing for customizable fit and fine-tuning of the sound signature. A leather case for storage and transport completes the package.
