Innovative DualCore acoustic architecture
One of the key features of Concert Legacy 9 is the proprietary Jamo DualCore technology. The internal volume of the enclosure is divided into two completely independent acoustic chambers.
The upper chamber is intended for mid-range and high-frequency drivers and has a closed design. The lower chamber works with the bass drivers. A special damping layer made of rubber with a hardness of 75 Shore A is placed between the sections to effectively isolate vibrations and prevent low-frequency pressure from affecting the mid frequencies.
This design allows vocals to sound as open and natural as possible, while the bass maintains depth, power, and control even at high volumes.
Legendary mid-range SEAS driver
At the heart of the speaker system lies the renowned 165mm SEAS L18REX driver, produced in Norway. Its diaphragm is made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy, providing high rigidity with minimal weight.
The signature phase plug with a copper accent contributes to accurate distribution of sound waves and enhances mid-range detail. This driver is responsible for realistic vocal reproduction, acoustic instruments, and complex musical passages.
Deep and controlled bass
Two 165mm Scan-Speak woofers with fiber cones are responsible for reproducing low frequencies. This construction allows for rich, dense, and natural bass without excessive coloration.
The low-frequency range confidently reaches down to 27 Hz, making the system an excellent choice for both music listening and building a high-class home theater.
Well-thought-out enclosure design
The speaker enclosure is mounted on a massive aluminum base that tilts the speaker forward by 4 degrees. This engineering solution enhances the time alignment of the drivers and improves the soundstage.
An additional advantage is the downward-firing port, which significantly reduces the impact of speaker placement on sound quality, allowing for closer positioning to walls without noticeable bass quality loss.
