New FiiO FW5 Wireless Earphones
The new FiiO FW5 wireless earphones are positioned by the company as Hi-Fi class earphones in the TWS form factor. This means that the FW5 combines the best acoustic and electronic solutions from FiiO. The model combines a top-of-the-line Bluetooth chip, professional DAC, and a hybrid set of drivers, ensuring stable signal transmission and sufficient output power.

Technologies
FiiO equipped the FW5 with the reliable Qualcomm QCC5141 Bluetooth chipset of the latest generation. It provides Bluetooth 5.2 connection with support for modern high-resolution data transmission protocols LHDC/AptX. LDAC support is also expected to be added through a firmware update.
These codecs, combined with the QCC5141 chipset, provide a stable Bluetooth connection without delays and high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio streaming. The FW5 also utilizes the powerful AK4332 DAC chip, which supports a dynamic range of up to 102dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 106dB, ensuring clear sound decoding and high-quality audio performance.
Headphone Design
The FW5 model is designed in a hybrid configuration with three drivers. Each earphone is equipped with a 10mm dynamic driver with a DLC diaphragm and polyurethane padding, as well as two Knowles RAD balanced armature drivers.
The dynamic driver is tuned to provide powerful bass response and rich and detailed mid-frequencies. The Knowles RAD armature drivers are known for their impressive high-frequency characteristics. These drivers work together to deliver powerful yet textured bass, reproducing every smallest detail in the high frequencies.
Microphones and Battery Life
Each FW5 earphone has two microphones that work in conjunction with cVc noise cancellation technology to make voice calls clearer and communication more pleasant. Each earphone also has two dedicated physical buttons for controlling the microphone and music playback (track switching, call answering, volume adjustment, etc.).
FiiO equipped the FW5 with a large battery, so that music is always with you. Each earphone has a 60mAh battery, and the charging case uses a 380mAh battery. The earphones can continuously play music for up to 7 hours, and the case allows for three complete charges of the earphones, extending the autonomous operation to 21 hours. It also has 4 special LED indicators that show the battery level.
Additionally, the FiiO FW5 is IPX4 waterproof, protecting the earphones from splashes. FiiO always provides its products with a rich set of accessories, and the FW5 is no exception. It comes with a set of balanced ear tips and two additional sets of vocal ear tips.
