The Android 14 streaming platform - deeply customized Android 14 system runs on an octa-core Rockchip RK3576 processor (4 Cortex-A72 cores up to 2.2 GHz + 4 Cortex-A53 cores up to 2.0 GHz), ensuring high-speed operation of streaming applications, fast media library scanning, smooth multitasking, and playback of high-resolution local files.
Bit-perfect high-resolution playback - optimized low-level drivers and updated audio structure provide native on-hardware (SoC) signal transmission paths USB Audio and I²S without distortion. Supports formats up to PCM 32-bit/768 kHz and Native DSD512 while maintaining absolute signal purity throughout the digital path.
Two ES9082Q DACs in MONO mode - a dedicated ES9082Q chip is allocated for each audio channel, creating physically independent left and right decoding paths. This architecture is designed to dramatically improve channel separation, signal/noise ratio (SNR), dynamic range, and resolution of the finest sound details.
Fully discrete balanced headphone amplifier - a four-channel fully balanced, fully discrete topology uses audiophile bipolar transistors (BJT) from Nexperia for current amplification and drive. Switchable Class A and Class AB operating modes are available, a DC-Servo scheme helps control DC offset, and the balanced output power reaches an impressive 4.0 W + 4.0 W at 16 Ohms load.
XMOS XU316 USB interface - a 16-core XMOS XU316 processor supports UAC2.0 and UAC1.0 standards for wide compatibility with Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, and other popular platforms. Asynchronous data transfer and precise reclocking help effectively suppress digital jitter and noise from the signal source.
Flexible data storage and network connectivity options - dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), wired Ethernet, Bluetooth based on Qualcomm QCC5125, USB flash drive support, external hard drives and card readers, and an internal slot for M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD storage provide users with access to vast local and networked music libraries.
Separate power supplies for digital and analog circuits - the foundation of the ID6 linear power architecture is a powerful toroidal transformer with separate power supply for digital and analog circuits. DC-DC stabilizers, low-noise linear regulators, and polymer-molybdenum filtering capacitors are used to effectively suppress pulsations and internal noise.
6-inch FHD+ touchscreen display - the screen with a resolution of 1080 × 2160 pixels operates in a custom horizontal interface with multitouch support, dynamic spectrum visualization, and real-time VU meter display. The light ring around the volume knob provides visual indication of the track format being played.
Integration with Cayin Control application - ID6 fully integrates with the Cayin Control app for switching sound profiles (tube/transistor profiles), adjusting playback settings, and overall device control. The functionality of the app will be expanded with future firmware updates.
Wide system integration capabilities - balanced XLR and standard RCA outputs (working in linear output or preamplifier modes), HDMI I²S-LVDS digital output, coaxial and optical digital inputs and outputs, USB DAC input, HDMI ARC multimedia port, USB HOST connectors, and wired network connection allow the ID6 to act as the main control center of a large audio system.
