American company Audeze (pronounced "odyssey" and translated the same way) proudly presents an updated version of the highly acclaimed LCD line, the LCD-2C Closed-Back headphones, following numerous user requests. Based on the classic LCD-2 model, specialists have created closed-back headphones that deliver the clean, characteristic sound of planar magnetic devices with increased noise isolation and significantly reduced external noise levels. The LCD2 Closed-Back model reproduces an audio image with clear bass and a full presence effect thanks to its closed design.

Elegance and Unmatched Dynamics
Featuring an elegant casing of advanced design, the LCD2 Closed-Back headphones produce rich and exceptionally pleasant sound with superb dynamics and ultra-low distortion levels. The deep, precisely controlled bass can be incredibly powerful (but amazingly accurate) or gentle when needed.
Unlike top models like the LCD-4 with a high price tag, the classic LCD-2C comes at a moderate cost. Currently, it is the most affordable model in the LCD line, priced lower than the original LCD-2 model and distinguished by its reduced weight. The manufacturer promises a warmer sound, hinting at changes in the driver design.
The drivers retain the double magnet arrangement and the same diaphragms but remove 2 phasing plates called Fazor. The Fazor plate is used to align the magnetic field and improves the phase characteristics at high frequencies. This is the main difference but appears to be a good compromise as it significantly reduces the cost, size, and weight of the headphones.
The headband material is steel, and it is emphasized as an advantage that no animal leather was used in the cushion covering material. This trend has emerged in America in recent years under the guise of animal welfare. Scratch-resistant nylon is now used instead of wood.
