New Gold Standard for 64 Audio
Ocean utilizes technologies that 64 Audio has been developing since its founding in 2010, but it is not just a repackaging of familiar ideas in a more expensive shell. The isobaric dynamic bass system, four-way hybrid architecture, enhanced tia waveguide, interchangeable venting filters, customizable tia screens, and full set of Apex modules make it one of the company's most ambitious universal developments.
The appeal of the model lies equally in technical and practical aspects. In its default configuration, Ocean is designed to function as a dynamically neutral flagship with realism across the full range, strong low frequencies, rich mid frequencies, natural high frequencies, and expanded staging. For listeners who want to experiment, passive acoustic control opens access to dozens of different acoustic configurations on one platform.
Ocean is the flagship 64 Audio IEM for listeners who want both a complete benchmark setup and the freedom to explore what else the same six-driver system is capable of.
Ocean of Possibilities

Ocean is the new flagship universal IEM from 64 Audio, combining the latest technologies in drivers, acoustics, and tuning in a four-position design with six drivers, based on one idea: full realism without sacrificing musicality.
Its hybrid architecture combines a pair of customizable dynamic drivers in an isobaric "cone to cone" configuration for low frequencies, two balanced armatures for mid frequencies, a specialized balanced armature for high frequencies, and the tia™ high-frequency driver. The result is what 64 Audio describes as a dynamically neutral presentation, with powerful yet controlled bass, rich and authoritative mid frequencies, natural upper mid frequencies, a wide soundstage, and seamless high-frequency extension.
Ocean is also one of the most customizable devices created by 64 Audio IEMs. The passive acoustic control system of Ocean combines interchangeable tia screens, reverse venting filters, and Apex modules to create up to 32 acoustic configurations. This gives listeners real control over high-frequency damping, bass behavior, isolation, pressure relief, and overall sound, without relying on DSP or electronic equalizers.
Flagship Six-Driver Model

Ocean uses six drivers, but more importantly, it features four crossover points. The four-way acoustic architecture allows each frequency range to be allocated to a specially designed group of drivers, rather than relying on one type of transducer to handle everything. Two customizable dynamic drivers for low frequencies are located at the bottom, working in an isobaric "cone to cone" arrangement. Mid frequencies are handled by two balanced armature drivers, while a separate high-frequency driver is responsible for the high-frequency range, where vocals, instruments, and much of our perception of tonal realism are formed. The tia high driver complements the system at the very top.
The goal is coherence of sound, not just the maximum number of drivers. Ocean is designed to maintain separation and spatial clarity, while presenting music as a unified whole, allowing complex recordings to expand without artificially separating individual elements.
Isobaric Cone-to-Cone Bass Drivers

The low-frequency system of Ocean uses two bass drivers arranged cone to cone as an isobaric pair. The configuration is designed to deliver deep, powerful bass while maintaining the speed and control expected of a flagship IEM. 64 Audio characterizes the resulting low frequencies as exceptionally clean, and this distinction matters. Ocean is designed to provide real bass impact and physical expression without allowing low frequencies to overshadow mid frequencies or distort spatial information.
The pneumatic load of the dynamic-driver system can also be adjusted using interchangeable rear vent filters of Ocean, making the low frequency characteristics part of a broader system of passive acoustic control of IEM, rather than a fixed design choice.
Rich Mids and Natural Highs
Four out of the six drivers in Ocean are dedicated to frequencies above the bass system, allowing 64 Audio to carefully shape the areas responsible for vocal timbre, instrumental texture, presence, and spatial realism. Two balanced armature drivers handle the main mid frequencies, while a separate high-frequency driver provides a transition to the tia high-frequency system. The tuning is aimed at keeping the mid frequencies rich and authoritative, while finely balancing the energy of the high frequencies to maintain clarity without making vocals or instruments sound excessively loud.
This balance contributes to the dynamically neutral character of Ocean: it is detailed enough to serve as a benchmark, but voiced with realistic tonal relationships, rather than exaggerated resolution.
Enhanced tia High-Frequency Driver with Metamaterial Waveguide

Ocean continues one of 64 Audio's defining technologies, developing a special tia high-frequency driver and a single-bore acoustic system. By reducing the number of conventional tubes and damping structures between the driver and the ear, tia is designed to minimize unwanted resonance while providing greater openness and high-frequency transmission response.
For Ocean, 64 Audio has enhanced the tia waveguide with a newly patented metamaterial. This acoustic structure is used as an additional tuning mechanism, shaping the high frequencies and preserving the natural openness of the tia driver. The expected result is high frequencies that sound extended and expressive without becoming intrusive: high-frequency details with a realistic, airy character that naturally blend with the rest of the spectrum.
Passive Acoustic Control: 32 Tuning Options for Ocean

Ocean goes far beyond just interchangeable pressure relief modules. The passive acoustic control system provides the listener with three different mechanical ways to change the acoustic characteristics of the IEM. Two interchangeable stainless steel tia screens adjust high-frequency damping. Four reverse vent filters change the pneumatic load of the isobaric dynamic-driver system. Four Apex modules - m20, m15, m12, and mX - change ventilation and isolation.
Together, these components provide up to 32 possible combinations. Instead of offering a simple switch for low frequencies or two fixed characteristics, Ocean allows listeners to experiment with different ratios between low-frequency behavior, high-frequency energy, isolation, pressure relief, and perceived space. This makes Ocean incredibly flexible for a flagship IEM. You can choose a preferred base configuration and leave it unchanged or use the tuning system as part of the experience and customize Ocean according to different musical preferences, sources, environments, and personal preferences.
Apex Pressure Relief System and Adjustable Isolation

The patented Air Pressure Exchange technology, or Apex, developed by 64 Audio, eliminates the pneumatic pressure that would otherwise be created inside the airtight ear canal. Reducing this pressure is intended to increase comfort during extended listening sessions while also providing the spacious presentation that 64 Audio IEM modules are known for.
Ocean includes all four Apex modules: m20, m15, m12, and mX. Depending on the installed module, nominal isolation varies from approximately -10 dB to -20 dB. Since Apex is integrated into the broader tuning system of Ocean, changing modules not only affects isolation but also provides another way to adjust the feeling of physical airtightness, space, and acoustic load in the IEM.
LID Technology

Linear Impedance Design, or LID, is a patented scheme that corrects nonlinear electrical impedance of multiple driver sets in this 6-driver IEM. Changing the output impedance of the source amplifier in devices such as smartphones, portable devices, DAC/amp combos, and DAP adapters typically alters their frequency response depending on impedance increase. Restoring proper interaction with the source and maintaining the desired sound characteristics ensures stable and reliable sound.
Wide Layered Soundstage, yet Harmonious

Ocean is designed with a wide soundstage, clear soundstage separation, and full frequency range clarity in mind. These qualities are particularly important in a six-driver design, where technical separation can become less convincing if individual frequency ranges are not integrated properly.
64 Audio's goal is to give instruments their own well-defined position while maintaining the cohesion of a realistic performance. The bass remains foundational, mid frequencies have weight and texture, upper mid frequencies provide presence and realism, and the tia high-frequency system adds airiness and extension without disrupting the sound. For listeners transitioning to a flagship IEM who require more resolution and spatial information, Ocean is designed to provide both without feeling like it all belongs to the same recording.
Champagne Gold Aluminum and Copper Body

The Ocean chassis is made of T6061 aluminum with a champagne gold copper finish, and the front panel is designed like wind ripples - wavelike geological formations formed in sedimentary rocks under the influence of wind. The design is deliberately understated for a modern flagship. Instead of relying on complex decorative materials or lavishly adorned front panels, 64 Audio uses mechanical finishing, texture, proportions, and finishing to give Ocean its uniqueness. The rippled front panel provides visual depth while maintaining a clean industrial aesthetic inherent to the brand.
Two Shielded UP-OCC Cables
Ocean includes special cables for both standard unbalanced and balanced systems, so there's no need to choose a cable at purchase or immediately add a different connector cable. Both cables use a four-wire Litz construction with a 24 AWG cross-weave, made from silver-plated monocrystalline UP-OCC copper with 99 strands per wire and a total specified resistance of only 0.29 ohms. Shielding is intended to reduce interference while maintaining signal transparency.
