The Vision Ears PHöNIX Final Edition in-ear monitors are the ultimate High-End IEM headphones released in a strictly limited edition of 280 units worldwide. This model signifies the triumphant conclusion of the legendary Phönix line, offering audiophiles a completely redesigned acoustic and visual concept.
The headphones are built on a complex five-way system, consisting of 13 balanced armature drivers per channel. Unlike the classic version, the Final Edition engineers at Vision Ears completely updated the crossover scheme and incorporated four new-generation low-frequency transducers with increased diaphragm stiffness. This has allowed for an unprecedented sub-bass depth (starting at 10 Hz), while maintaining perfect control, openness of mid frequencies, and the signature emotional vocal delivery. The sub-basses sound deeper, adding weight and extension to the sound, while the low-mids and upper basses have been carefully balanced. As a result, the low frequencies sound more focused, controlled, precise, powerful, yet clean.
The mid frequencies in the PHöNIX Final Edition retain the unmistakable character of the original, with its bright detail and amazing naturalness.
Thanks to the newly improved low-frequency foundation, the mid frequencies sound more open and spacious, allowing voices and instruments to sound more freely. As a result, the sound becomes more voluminous, detailed, and even more natural.
The design of the Final Edition emphasizes its status as a collector's edition. The housing has a deep matte Gunmetal Gray finish. Under the dome-shaped sapphire glass of the front panel lies a complex black texture, framed by a bright purple ring with the Phoenix logo in the center.
An important part of the set is the completely new premium 22AWG cable made from ultra-pure 7N single crystal copper of their own design. The cable provides an exceptionally analog, smooth sound without any hint of sharpness.
