TEAC has been awarded the Japan VGP Award (The Visual Grand Prix Awards) 2022.
The TEAC AX-505 features a Hypex Ncore Class D amplifier (specifically tuned for TEAC) with a rated power of 70W + 70W (8 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 0.8%). The amplifier section includes protection against current surges, overvoltage, and overheating.
The device utilizes a toroidal power transformer designed to enhance the power supply's ability to withstand power fluctuations. Additionally, the power section includes Schottky barrier diodes to improve efficiency and reduce heat output.
The TEAC AX-505 is built with a balanced circuit throughout the playback path. The model comes in an aluminum chassis with aluminum knobs and large gold-plated speaker terminals. The VU meter indicators feature a four-step dimmable backlight scheme.
The model is equipped with a built-in headphone amplifier featuring CCLC (Capacitance-free circuit design) and a remote control.
