High-Precision Electrostatic Thin-Film Radiator (HPEL)
The Sonoma Model One's acoustic system is the world's first to use high-precision electrostatic HPEL radiators developed by Warwick Acoustics Ltd. Engineers at Warwick Acoustics have reimagined the electrostatic radiator, creating a multi-layered ultra-thin film with a conductive layer instead of the traditional "mesh-membrane-mesh" design. The absence of a front mesh allows sound to emanate from the headphones without any mechanical barriers, resulting in distortion-free sound.
Comfort and Flawlessness
For comfort during extended listening sessions, the headphones and headband are handmade from premium sheepskin. The magnesium cups were chosen as the material for the headphones due to their excellent balance of strength and weight, as well as their ability to effectively dampen vibrations. The lightweight nature of magnesium ensures a comfortable fit for the headphones.
Low-Resistance Cable
In collaboration with Straight Wire Inc., a special super-low-resistance cable with high-precision self-locking connectors has been developed for the Sonoma Model One headphones to ensure ideal signal transmission between the amplifier and the headphones.
Class A Amplifier
The discrete, non-symmetrical Class A amplifier using field-effect transistors ensures an extremely low level of distortion in the final signal, while the amplifier is fully shielded from all interference by an aluminum enclosure.
