The Polk Audio V60 in-ceiling speaker system is made with high-quality components and materials, designed for high-quality music playback in multi-room systems.
After installation, the speaker has a very neat appearance thanks to a quality protective grille that is virtually flush with the ceiling surface. The Polk Audio V60 comes with a round grille, but a square protective grille can also be purchased as an option - for those cases where this shape is preferable.
The Polk Audio V60 speaker is made using the proprietary Dynamic Balance technology, which improves the quality of sound and efficiency. Through computer modeling, the speakers of the audio system were studied and optimized, as well as the damping improved.
The Polk Audio V60 has a two-way configuration and is equipped with a 6.5-inch low-frequency driver with a composite polymer diaphragm. The diaphragm is mounted on a reliable and durable butyl rubber suspension, ensuring linear movement with a large amplitude. The woofer is equipped with a powerful magnetic system, increasing sensitivity, and is installed on an anti-vibration chassis.
Above the low-frequency driver, a high-frequency driver is mounted on an aerodynamically shaped holder that does not reflect sound waves. The tweeter is installed slightly off-center from the woofer, allowing for adjustment of the speaker's directivity pattern in the desired direction for maximum sound quality in the listening area. The tweeter has a 0.75-inch silk dome and operates in an extended frequency range.
The speaker is equipped with a quality crossover network made from select components, and a pair of gold-plated binding posts serves for connection to the amplifier. The Polk Audio V60 delivers balanced sound that complements other speakers from the company.
