Just like with any other PMC monitors, thanks to excellent dispersion and tonal balance, PMC8-2 can be easily and smoothly combined with small PMC monitors to create larger multi-channel or immersive systems.
Two low-frequency drivers work in pair with the same mid-range PMC55 tweeter, DSP system, and four channels of class D amplification totaling 400W, which are used in PMC6-2. The monitor can be adjusted directly from the rear panel or with the SoundAlign browser-based software from a computer or tablet.
Combined with the precisely designed ATL cabinet and hexagonal Laminair vents, PMC8-2 provides phenomenal performance approaching the characteristics of our main reference monitors, with smooth and stable bass down to 25Hz, impressive mid-range, and a wide range of stable sound. Like the rest of the range, the superior clarity, reproducibility, dynamics, and bass accuracy of PMC8-2 allow for quick decision making in mixing with full confidence and without fatigue even after long listening sessions.
PMC8-2 can be upgraded by adding the PMC8-2 subwoofer to create an XBD system, increasing the low-frequency level by 6dB. Special short and taller floor stands are available for PMC8-2 and PMC8-2 XBD systems, placing them at the ideal listening axis.
