The PMC10 SUB subwoofer is designed to complement any PMC monitoring system as an independent low-frequency subwoofer. The PMC10 subwoofer is equipped with the same ATL Advanced Transmission Line enclosure of the latest generation with the LaminairX ventilation system as the full-function PMC10 monitor, but without the tweeters and mid-range drivers of this model. The innovative 10-inch bass driver, custom-designed and manufactured, has a wide frequency range, providing improved low-frequency characteristics that are typically found in much larger enclosures and 12-inch drivers.
The speaker is controlled and powered by the rack-mountable Master36 DSP/amplifier by PMC, which uses ultra-transparent class D amplification to deliver 1000 watts to the low-frequency driver. The built-in DSP provides high-precision digital filters for high and low frequencies, optimized for the specially designed PMC10 SUB low-frequency driver, as well as transparent excursion limiting for system protection and a comprehensive equalizer for room optimization. The system accepts both analog and digital inputs and can be controlled via a standard local network through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface.
In locations where high power and excursion are needed, a second PMC10 subwoofer can be connected in series and powered by the same Master36 with a total power of 2000 watts.
