The Pioneer XDJ-RX3 is a two-channel multifunctional DJ system that stands out not only for its flexibility and practicality compared to the previous model, but also for a number of new features borrowed from the versatile club-type player CDJ-3000 and DJM-900NXS2 mixer. Additionally, this model features a new 10.1-inch touchscreen display.

The 10.1-inch touchscreen display is the largest screen on Pioneer DJ multifunctional systems, significantly larger than the 7-inch screen on the XDJ-RX2 model. This screen offers a higher resolution of 1280:800 (WXGA) and an increased frame rate compared to the previous model, allowing users to see everything clearly, including smoother waveforms. The search section with intuitive playlist navigation is similar to the CDJ-3000 model. A new feature called Playlist Bank allows users to quickly find their 4 favorite playlists with just one touch.
Moreover, a new graphical user interface and numerous new features guarantee simplified navigation for quick searching and precise mixing. The number of tracks displayed in the search section has been increased from 8 to 12, meaning less scrolling when looking for the next song to play. By touching any group of icons on the left side of the screen, users can instantly view relevant information for each track, making it easier and faster to search by category.
The preview feature on the touchscreen display allows users to listen to any part of a track without loading it into the deck. Users can switch between viewing pad status or Beat FX and X-Pad effects with a simple touch to the screen. With support for the 3Band waveform function, also borrowed from the CDJ-3000, users can see volume levels of different frequency ranges in tracks analyzed by rekordbox, providing a clear visual representation of their sound.
The jog display makes it easy to monitor data loaded into the XDJ-RX3 deck. Important track information or artwork is displayed on the LCD screen in the center of each jog. Users can also adjust the "weight" of the jogs by fine-tuning the sensitivity scale for each of them.
The Pioneer XDJ-RX3 system includes all the effects from the previous version, as well as 6 Beat FX effects and 2 additional Sound Color FX effects. Users have access to the full range of effects from the DJM-900NXS2 model: 14 Beat FX effects, including Ping Pong, Filter, Phaser, Slip Roll, Vinyl Brake, and Helix, and 6 Sound Color FX effects, including Space and Crush.
With just a touch of the working touch keys, users can instantly change the energy of their performance, adding intensity to a track or creating an exciting moment before transitioning to the next song on another deck. For example, effects like Echo Out or Spin Out can dynamically blend into the next track. Users have 8 effects to choose from: Vinyl Brake (long/short), Backspin (long/short), Echo Out, Build Up, Mute, and Ducking.
The Pioneer XDJ-RX3 system can play music analyzed by rekordbox from USB drives in export mode. Users can also connect a laptop for Link Export or Performance mode via USB-HID. Since the XDJ-RX3 is an unlock device, users can freely use Performance mode without the need for a subscription. When connected to a laptop, users can play all tracks from their rekordbox library and make use of all the features of the "Core" plan for free.
Since the decks and mixer are integrated into one unit, sound quality loss due to cable issues is eliminated. The new sound board design also eliminates unwanted noise. The device is carefully tuned to produce powerful low frequencies and expressive mid-high frequencies, ensuring that the original sound source is faithfully reproduced for listeners to appreciate the music as intended.
