The Mackie SR18S is an affordable active subwoofer designed for versatile use. With a peak power of 1600 watts, this subwoofer is suitable for a range of sound reinforcement and room amplification tasks.
Inside the subwoofer, there is a built-in Class D amplifier and a high-quality 18-inch driver with a ferrite magnet. The subwoofer is equipped with two symmetrical (balanced) XLR inputs for connecting to the stereo output of a mixer, as well as four symmetrical (balanced) outputs for satellites, also XLR. Two of these outputs have low-frequency cutoff, while the other two are full range.
The subwoofer is housed in a durable "Built-Like-A-Tank" plywood enclosure with a special coating that is resistant to wear and mechanical damage. It also features a standard 35mm socket for mounting on a subwoofer-satellite stand. The subwoofer is available in a black enclosure.
