The Mackie ProFX6v3 is an analog mixer console with a digital effects processor and USB audio interface. This model is the entry-level version in the third generation of the popular ProFX mixer series and offers six input channels. The device is perfect for home use, concerts, rehearsals for small bands, and can also be used for field recording.
The first two channels are equipped with Combo 6.3mm/XLR connectors and feature Onyx preamps with up to 60 dB of gain. They can handle microphone, line, and instrument signals, have a 2-band EQ for high and low frequencies, low-cut filters up to 100 Hz, as well as phantom power. These channels can be used as a stereo pair with panned separation, thanks to the Stereo Pan button.
Channels 3/4 offer two line inputs on 6.3mm connectors that can accept balanced or unbalanced signals, and can also be used for the USB audio interface. Channels 5/6 feature a single input on a 3.5mm connector and are designed for playing sound from portable devices. Each channel has its own volume control, and inputs 1/2 have an effects send button.
The GigFX DSP processor includes 24 different effects, including reverb, modulation, delay, and even overdrive/distortion. The selected preset number is displayed on the built-in LCD screen. The USB audio interface is equipped with 24-bit AD/DA converters capable of sampling rates up to 192 kHz, and offers 2 inputs and 4 outputs. It has a USB-B port for connection to a computer. For audio output, there is a balanced XLR output and a balanced/unbalanced output with two 6.3mm connectors. The headphone output is also on a similar type of connector. The master output channel also features an 8-segment level meter and a mute button that mutes all input channels. It operates on a 12V power adapter.
