The Mackie MX3500 is a professional power amplifier, being the junior model in the MX series. The device is fully compatible with the range of passive Mackie DRM speakers and can also be effectively used with any other speakers that are suitable in terms of technical specifications, providing high-quality and neutral sound and quiet and stable operation.
The amplifier belongs to the H class and offers the following output power values: 1000W per channel with an 8 Ohm load, 1350W per channel with a 4 Ohm load, and 2700W in bridge mode with an 8 Ohm load. These values will be sufficient for small and medium-sized concert halls, rehearsal spaces, home installations, and recording studios. The device offers three operating modes: bridge, parallel, and stereo. The input sensitivity can be set to either 0 or +4 dBu, and the audible frequency range extends from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The input signal can be amplified up to +33 dB individually for each channel. The front panel features gain controls and a 4-segment status indication for functionality, clipping, and power source.
There are two balanced XLR inputs available for connecting the sound source. The same connectors are used for the pass-through outputs, which are used to send the signal to a second amplifier or another device. Balanced speaker outputs are in the form of two Neutrik speakON connectors. The device's functionality includes input limiters, overheating protection, and a ventilation system. The device is housed in a sturdy, fully metal 2U standard enclosure, making it easy to install in a rack module. Power is supplied from the mains.
