The KEF R5 Meta are compact three-way floorstanding speakers. Despite their slim and elegant design, the R5 Meta are more than capable of reproducing detailed sound and deep, clean bass. These speakers feature a Uni-Q 12th generation driver array with MAT technology and two 5.25-inch hybrid aluminum low-frequency drivers. They can be used as a stereo pair or as part of a surround sound system in the R Series home cinema suite.

The Metamaterial Absorption Technology in the KEF R5 Meta absorbs 99% of unwanted sound for a pure and natural sound. The 12th generation Uni-Q drivers act as a single point source to increase the "sweet spot" and provide more uniform sound dispersion. The hybrid aluminum bass drivers offer a deep, controlled bass with a large excursion. The 12th generation Uni-Q driver is equipped with a new motor system to enhance midrange frequencies.
Developers also focused on the impact of the gap between the tweeter and midrange diaphragms of the Uni-Q drivers and were able to eliminate resonances for smoother, more transparent, and detailed high frequencies. The microfiber grilles with 1801 precision apertures ensure performance even when using the speaker grilles.
The KEF R5 Meta speakers have more in common with the Reference series than with the previous R Series generation. According to the developers, only the name remains from the "old" lineup, with over 1000 innovations and improvements introduced. This floorstanding speaker system is compact and elegant, yet effortlessly reproduces music and movies.
