The Jamo Concert Element 70 is a compact three-way floor-standing speaker system that combines signature Scandinavian sound traditions with progressive interior design. The model was developed by the revived Danish brand in collaboration with the Copenhagen design studio HarritSørensen and the renowned manufacturer of premium audio components SB Acoustics.
Construction and Interior Integration
The speaker inherits the recognizable visual code of the Element series called "circle over rectangle". The speaker modules noticeably protrude beyond the elegant enclosure, making the speakers the visual and acoustic center of the system.
The two-chamber architecture divides the internal space into independent zones. The low-frequency driver operates in its own ventilated volume, while the mid-range driver is completely isolated in a closed chamber. This design solution eliminates the influence of air currents, increasing vocal detail and clarity. On the external side of the enclosure, the boundary between the chambers is elegantly emphasized by a decorative Horizon Line.
Practical Placement
Thanks to the downward-facing port of the bass reflex, airflows are distributed towards the base of the speaker. Combined with the slim cabinet depth, this allows for floor-standing speakers to be placed close to the wall without the risk of muddy or boomy bass.
Technological Features and Sound
The Jamo Concert Element 70 boasts a true 3-way configuration, ensuring accurate frequency separation and the ability to confidently fill spacious rooms without the need for a subwoofer.
A massive 200mm woofer handles the reproduction of the lower register. The mid-range frequencies are processed by a separate 130mm driver equipped with the Jamo Phase Plug for phase alignment and coil cooling. The bass and midrange driver diaphragms are made of a composite material based on natural Scandinavian nettle fibers, giving the sound a soft, natural character. The upper range is controlled by a 25mm soft dome tweeter with a waveguide, time-synchronized with the other drivers.
The speakers have a nominal power of 200 watts and reproduce a range from 40Hz to 22kHz (±3 dB), reaching down to a deep 35Hz (-6 dB). The aesthetics are completed by the removable textile grilles from the furniture brand Gabriel, allowing for an easy change of the speaker's look from a technological to a cozy home style.
