The pair consists of a large 13.6mm DLC 2nd generation dynamic driver paired with six premium-class Knowles balanced armature drivers. Large Dynamic Driver with DLC 2nd Generation Diaphragm
FiiO has developed a large 13.6mm dynamic driver for the FH9, incorporating a DLC 2nd generation diaphragm coil (diamond-like carbon). It is tuned specifically to deliver extremely powerful and balanced low-frequency response, providing impressive bass response with the FH9.
Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers
Knowles is a globally renowned brand that designs high-quality balanced armature drivers. FiiO collaborates with them to include six high-performance balanced armature drivers in the FH9. Three SWFK-31746 drivers are designed for high-resolution high-frequency characteristics. FiiO and Knowles jointly developed three BA drivers for a rich mid-range response. With the FH9, you get a clear representation of mid frequencies with high-frequency detail.
Titanium Alloy Chambers
The titanium alloy construction is extremely rigid and helps minimize unwanted harmonics and resonances in the output signal. Each FH9 unit is crafted with high precision using a five-axis CNC machining process. The chambers feature a newly designed semi-open back acoustic structure that maintains air pressure inside the chambers.
Sound Tuning with Interchangeable Filters
The FiiO FH9 comes with three interchangeable sound filters, each with its own damping and filter density. They help fine-tune the sound slightly, catering to user preferences. The earphones come with a red filter for enhanced bass, a green filter for transparent and balanced sound, and a black filter for detailed high-resolution sound.
Silver Cable with Interchangeable Plugs
The FiiO FH9 comes with a high-purity and high-quality single-crystal silver cable with 9 strands of 28 wires each, totaling 224 wires. Each wire is individually insulated and braided together in a Litz pattern. It provides maximum sound signal characteristics with ultra-low internal resistance.
