Esoteric Master Sound 2nd Generation
The Esoteric Master Sound G2 Discrete DAC is a fully self-developed multilevel ΔΣ digital-to-analog converter based on FPGA technology, built from carefully selected discrete components. The ultimate goal of this unique architecture is to effortlessly reproduce the true dynamics and power of music, surpassing the limitations inherent in conventional DAC chips. Its expansive circuit consists of 16 elements per channel, with all key components finely tuned completely independently. In the XE model, the new G2 DAC features a fully revamped resistor scheme - the first stage of analog processing, providing even higher quality signal processing. New Low-Noise Resistor Network
In the DAC, the resistor network is a crucial scheme that converts the digital signal generated by the FPGA into an analog signal using precision resistor elements. In the new G2 model, Esoteric has implemented advancements from the flagship Grandioso N1 network player developers. This approach streamlined and optimized the scheme responsible for turning on and off the resistor elements. Each network component is powered directly through its own independent power line, separated from transformer windings. The scheme is designed to eliminate differences in sound quality when using speakers or headphones. This is achieved by using the HCLD linear preamplifier, known for its high current output power, as the headphone amplifier. The dual-mono architecture includes independent left and right power circuits. When using headphones, the two amplifier schemes switch to parallel operation with single-ended connection, providing even greater openness in sound than previous models. The amplifier features two output connectors: a 4-pin XLR connector and a 6.3mm stereo headphone output. With a high output power of 1200mW per channel (load 32 Ohms), it provides sufficient power, control, and musical vitality to high-class headphones, ensuring uncompromising performance and enhanced musical expressiveness.
Versatility for a Wide Range of Applications

Built-In Bluetooth Receiver
The N-05XE is equipped with a built-in Bluetooth receiver supporting high-quality audio codecs, including LDAC, LHDC, Qualcomm aptX-HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC. Chassis Design for Resonance Control
The N-05XE features a semi-floating top panel that provides open and spacious sound. In the lower part of the chassis, laser-cut slits are placed around the power transformer mount for effective resonance management. Undesirable vibrations are effectively dispersed outward thanks to Esoteric's patented point isolating feet (patent numbers: JP 4075477, JP 3778108, and JP 7413773).
Remote Control with Convenient Dual-Side Control Buttons
The RC-1339 remote control has an ergonomic aluminum body that fits comfortably in the hand, with buttons located on both sides of the device for intuitive and easy control without leaving the listening position.
