Earmen CH-Amp is a fully balanced headphone amplifier with an external linear power supply. The more you listen to the CH-Amp, the better it becomes. This is especially noticeable when you listen to another amplifier for a while and then return to the CH-Amp with the same headphones. EarMen CH-Amp is precise, clean, fast, transparent, and always musical. It works exceptionally well in the full EarMen stack, but you can confidently use it with any DAC or other source. Earmen CH-Amp has received various awards from audio industry professionals.

Composite reinforcement technology
CH-Amp utilizes a composite amplifier topology that combines excellent characteristics of both direct and alternating current. Such amplifiers have several advantages compared to other types of similar devices.
For instance, power amplifiers typically use thermal feedback loops, which result in significant errors when controlling large loads. These errors arise from self-heating. The use of composite materials can eliminate such errors and enhance the circuit's performance. Composite amplifiers also provide better bias offset for direct current output signals. Overloading the output transistors does not affect the bias voltage.
Premium-class components
The schematic design incorporates WIMA capacitors, as well as electrolytes paired with low-noise MELF resistors (Metal Electrode Leadless Face, a type of surface mount component) and OPA1642 operational amplifiers, which are an excellent choice for achieving a neutral sound. EarMen CH-Amp has a range of quality characteristics: low signal-to-noise ratio and THD (Total Harmonic Distortions, the coefficient of nonlinear distortions); excellent frequency response and high power, with characteristics that hardly change even under high loads.
EarMen CH-Amp features two important functions: preamplifier outputs and a gain switch. CH-Amp has balanced and single-ended preamplifier outputs, so you can also connect to active monitors. The gain switch allows for better control of both output level and impedance, for a better match with your headphones.
CH-Amp is housed in a solid aluminum enclosure, making it extremely durable and reliable, and providing the printed circuit board with greater protection and additional insulation from external interference. Its compact design makes it suitable for any home system.
Balanced Architecture
The CH-Amp is a fully balanced headphone amplifier, which means that balanced inputs from the source are sent to the output without any changes. From an unbalanced input, signals are converted into balanced signals without phase shift (phase imbalance), so that the + and - signals perfectly align in phase. This eliminates unnecessary distortion.
Linear Power Supply
The amplifier's power supply unit is housed in a separate enclosure and utilizes a linear topology with the use of high-quality components and the latest design. The linear power source is reliable, simple, and produces minimal noise.
It is designed to provide the best performance and efficiency. It also features protection against current overload, short circuit, and thermal overload in accordance with the highest safety standards. One major advantage of this power source is that you can connect it to the Tradutto digital-analog converter and Airmen Staccato Streamer to have an excellent all-in-one system.
