Description

Introduced in 2007 as the ultimate iPod dock, Zeppelin has been reborn in 2021 – with improved sound, more sensible and more beautiful than ever before. The new Zeppelin has been redesigned for the era of audio streaming. It is now smarter and more user-friendly, and its sound has gained high resolution, becoming more detailed and dynamic.

Features:

  • Iconic unique Zeppelin design;
  • Bluetooth 5.0;
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP);
  • Dynamic EQ;
  • Enjoy your favorite music in 24-bit high-resolution quality from Deezer, Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify;
  • Full stereo system in a single enclosure: two 25mm tweeters, two 90mm midrange drivers, and one 150mm bass driver;
  • Output power: 240W;
  • The first multi-room Zeppelin.

Distinctive, Innovative Design

For over 15 years, each new generation of Zeppelin has been unique – boasting a truly beautiful and distinctive design within its class – and, like all Bowers & Wilkins products, its shape is defined by acoustic principles. The new and completely reworked Zeppelin is available in two finish options, one dark (midnight grey) and the other light (pearl grey), and is now equipped with dimmable, adjustable backlighting to create a halo effect on the metal stand.

Designed for Superior Sound

The new Zeppelin is a full stereo system in one enclosure, equipped with separate left and right channel speakers, placed around a central large bass driver (subwoofer), powered by amplifiers with a total power of 240W. These premium components are installed in an extremely rigid housing, optimized using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods. The housing is carefully crafted to provide the best acoustic characteristics, with minimal framing around the edges of each driver – for superior sound dispersion. The result is a room-filling stereo sound that no single-enclosure competitor can match.

Two mechanically decoupled tweeters with double aluminum domes of the new Zeppelin originally appeared in the award-winning 600 Anniversary Series. Installed on the far edges of the enclosure and completely isolated from the vibrations of the enclosure created by other, larger drivers, they provide wide, spatial, and extremely precise sound.

Tweeters support 90mm midrange drivers using Bowers & Wilkins' proprietary Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST) technology, used in all the company's premium floor-standing speakers, including the flagship 800 Diamond Series chosen for Abbey Road Studio.

Finally, the new 150mm bass driver adds deep, detailed, and refined bass to the open, high-resolution sound of the combined system. Mounted in the center of the Zeppelin design, its construction is carefully optimized to avoid unwanted "rocking" of the enclosure during operation, resulting in cleaner sound and faster bass delivery.

Each generation of Zeppelin has been the best sound system for its time. The new Zeppelin, combining proven speaker technologies with a new high-resolution audio streaming platform, is simply the best today. The culmination of designers' efforts – exceptional musical performance, whether from wireless sources or streaming services.

Music you love, instantly

If you want to stream music from your mobile device, tablet, or computer, the new Zeppelin supports both AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth aptX Adaptive, making it suitable for both iOS and Android users. Spotify fans can enjoy Spotify Connect for high-quality sound and convenient, simple control. And best of all, the new Zeppelin can also be controlled with the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, providing instant access to a variety of streaming services, including Deezer, Last.fm, Qobuz, Soundcloud, TIDAL, and TuneIn. New services are regularly added to this list.

Smart, Multi-Room, Intuitive

The new Zeppelin offers a built-in Alexa voice assistant system: no need for any external components. Just ask for the song you want to hear, and your Zeppelin will comply. If you prefer, your Zeppelin can also be controlled using the physical buttons on the top of its elegant enclosure's rear panel. Finally, the new Zeppelin is designed to serve you for a long time. Its powerful digital "brain" can be upgraded over time, and in early 2022, the possibility of creating multi-room systems is planned – in several rooms. This will make Zeppelin compatible with both other new Zeppelins in a multi-room environment, and (if you prefer), with the Formation family-based system – high-resolution wireless speakers from Bowers & Wilkins.

Beauty of Sound

With the new Zeppelin, you no longer have to choose between a fully functional wireless speaker with all the necessary streaming services, an elegant, refined design, and high-quality room-filling sound. Now you can have both – together and at once.

More Possibilities

If you need to connect your Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin to your home network via a wired connection, you can connect an Ethernet cable to the USB-C service port on the speaker's rear panel using an Ethernet to USB-C adapter (not included). Zeppelin fully supports this connection type.

Otherwise, the USB-C port is only used for service and does not support direct playback via USB.

Package includes:

  • Portable speaker;
  • Power cable;
  • USB-C cable;
  • Documentation.
