The Bookshelf Speaker System 805 D5 is the most compact model in the Diamond series 800 lineup. Although it is best suited for smaller spaces, its capabilities on a larger scale far exceed its modest size.
Equipped with a monolithic tweeter with a diamond dome and a Continuum mid-bass driver in a rear-vented enclosure, the 805 D5 sounds and performs best when securely placed on its signature stands. Available in Stealth Black, Warm White, Light Walnut, and Dark Walnut colors with corresponding Connolly leather finish, the 805 D5 is a bright proof that small can be beautiful.
Optimization for Achieving the Best Performance

All models in the new Diamond series 800 lineup come with enhanced technologies. The improved Matrix design reduces resonance and creates a more lifelike soundstage, while the aluminum spatial frame mounts and the completely new aluminum upper section of the enclosure provide even more expansive and captivating sound.
Continuum Cone
Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum cone allows avoiding sharp changes in behavior that can degrade speaker performance. As a result, it delivers a more open, neutral sound that ensures accuracy and transparency in reproducing voices and instruments.
With improved drivers developed based on the renowned Signature speaker series, the new bass/midrange and midrange drivers in all new Diamond D5 series 800 models deliver cleaner sound with low distortion levels for a more precise and expressive presentation.
Diamond Dome Tweeter

By combining the most advanced and innovative speaker technology, the 805 D5 provides the purest sound in the world. The diamond dome tweeter raises the crossover frequency up to 70 kHz, ensuring exceptional clarity, accuracy, and openness.
Biomechanical Suspension
Sometimes, unconventional thinking is needed to make a significant change. For decades, engineers believed that nothing could improve the sound of the famous yellow aramid fiber midrange drivers, but ultimately, the Continuum technology changed this perception. Engineers have now focused on another critical element of the speaker cone - the fabric "spider". The biomechanical suspension revolutionizes the characteristics of the midrange cone, significantly reducing unwanted air pressure and coloration that a typical fabric spider can create. The result? Midrange clarity that you wouldn't believe is possible.
Enhanced Matrix Technology

The Matrix mounting uses interconnected panels to strengthen the internal walls of the speaker enclosures in all directions, reducing resonance and creating a more lifelike soundstage. Each Diamond model in the new 800 series features an enhanced matrix design that combines a sturdy plywood construction and aluminum mounts to reinforce key load-bearing points.
Reverse Wrap Cabinet
Unlike flat-sided speakers with curved backs, the Diamond series 800 enclosures feature a continuous, uninterrupted curve secured in place by a sturdy aluminum stand. Fewer joints provide a more rigid and inert construction, while the curved front panel reduces interference around the drive units. This improves sound dispersion and reduces reflection from the enclosure.
