Its distinctive feature is the second output, which allows producers, sound engineers, and musicians to record simultaneously from another angle. Together with the free PolarDesigner program for Mac and PC, this will provide you with unprecedented control over the microphone with the ability to choose transition points.

The Heart of OC818
The heart of the Austrian Audio OC818 Studio Set is the CKR12 ceramic capsule with a 1-inch diameter, handmade and equipped with two gold-sputtered polymer membranes that allow for multiple polar patterns.
Use the 5-position switch to set the OC818 to "eight", "supercardioid", "cardioid", "omnidirectional" or custom "polar pattern" with the PolarDesigner module for Win & Mac.
For flexible real-time tuning of the OC818, for complex settings during performances or sound checks, Bluetooth can be additionally connected. The PolarPilot program for Android and iOS provides access to both capsules, as well as to the high-pass filter and mode switch. In total, you will get 255 discrete patterns in 8 cardioid versions of the signal.
The OC818 housing is made of a zinc and aluminum alloy for strength and durability. Switches on the microphone's front panel provide easy access to the pad and low-frequency filter settings.
