The U18t provides a fast response while maintaining sufficient low-frequency amplitude by connecting eight modified mod-drivers for low frequencies instead of using fewer/larger drivers.
Tia Technology
The special design of the drivers and the housing without acoustic sound tubes provide clear and realistic sound. This system reduces unwanted resonances and distortions, allowing the high-frequency Tia driver to operate freely in a single large sound tube. U18t features two key elements of the Tia system: the Tia driver and the single-sound tube construction.
Apex Core Technology
This technology aims to reduce listener fatigue by alleviating excessive air pressure on the ear canal. This ventilation allows musicians and music enthusiasts to comfortably use the headphones for longer periods. Apex comes in three module variants for the U18s: mX, m15, and m20.
The headphone housing mimics the shape of the ear canal. It is made of a single piece of anodized red aluminum and adorned with an elegant copper patina insert on the face panels.
The model is designed not only for audiophiles but also for musicians. The included 18 drivers are divided as follows: 8 handle the low-frequency range, another 8 reproduce mid frequencies, one is responsible for the upper midrange, and the last one handles the high-frequency range.
