The UD-507 is equipped with the proprietary discrete digital-to-analog converter "TRDD 5" designed with a focus on musicality. Following the renowned TEAC 701 series, the new "TRDD 5" DAC offers a clear soundstage and precise visualization, providing listeners with captivating musical experiences. DSD signals are processed directly while PCM signals are converted to a 1-bit signal using a delta-sigma modulator in the FPGA. When connected via USB, the UD-507 supports DSD playback up to 22.5 MHz and PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz, allowing users to choose between multi-bit delta-sigma and single-bit delta-sigma conversion modes.
The TEAC UD-507 supports asynchronous USB interface, synchronizing PCM and DSD data transmission with the clock frequency generated by the internal high-precision quartz generator. It offers two clock pulse options - 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, each using a high-quality low-phase-noise quartz generator to minimize jitter and ensure accurate reproduction of the original soundtrack.
Balanced Headphone Amplifier
The UD507 is a headphone amplifier equipped with TEAC-HCLD 2 high-current linear amplification technology, providing high current delivery. Compared to the previous model, the maximum output power has been significantly increased to 1200 mW + 1200 mW (balanced power at 100 Ohms), comparable to a dedicated headphone amplifier without a DAC. The amplifier's gain can be switched between three settings (low/medium/high) for precise adjustment of the output signal to best match the headphone sensitivity and impedance.
High-Quality Preamplifier with Analog and Digital Inputs
The UD-507 features a high-precision analog volume attenuator TEAC-QVCS and a powerful high-precision linear buffer circuit TEAC-HCLD 2. With five digital inputs and two analog inputs (unbalanced and balanced), a variety of devices can be connected.
The TEAC UD-507 also includes a 10 MHz input for connecting an external clock generator, allowing synchronization with high-precision external clocks to enhance sound quality.
The UD-507 can also be connected via Bluetooth, supporting LDAC and LHDC codecs for high-resolution audio (up to 24 bit/96 kHz), as well as Qualcomm aptX-HD for transmitting 24-bit/48 kHz audio from compatible sources. It also supports universal codecs like AAC and Qualcomm aptX, and multi-point connection, enabling simultaneous wireless connection of two devices.
Other key features include full MQA decoding on all digital inputs (except Bluetooth) and the resampling function using RDOT-NEO (Refined Digital Output Technology NEO).
