One to Control Them All
The UF1 can control up to 3 DAW operating systems simultaneously and comes with profiles for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, LUNA, and Pyramix. Dedicated transport controls and a weighted wheel for navigation make moving through even the largest sessions fast and efficient. Additional transport buttons can be customized for key workflow commands such as loop on/off and track enable/disable, or press the Shift button for quick access to DAW automation modes. The high-quality 100mm motorized SSL fader provides precise control for recording automation and accurate track volume adjustments during recording and mixing.
Dual High-Resolution Displays
The dual high-resolution displays provide detailed visual feedback with track names, DAW parameters, time display, SSL Meter plugin, and channel strips with 360° support in the SSL mixer. The SSL Channel Strip plugin module can be controlled directly from the UF1 surface, displaying the EQ curve on the large display. The small display also shows input and compression parameter information. A large universal encoder with detents allows channel switching, mouse wheel emulation (focus mode), and system volume adjustment.
SSL Meter Plugin and SSL 360° Integration
In addition to comprehensive DAW control, each UF1 purchase includes a perpetual license for the SSL Meter plugin module, displayed on a large 4.3-inch IPS screen and controllable directly from the UF1 surface or SSL 360° mixer. The SSL Meter plugin offers essential measurement tools including peak and RMS levels, K-system, stereo balance, phase correlation meter, Lissajous phase scope, 31-band RTA, VU, and PPM measurement.
Expand UF1 Capabilities with SSL UC1 and UF8 Controllers
The UF1 can be used standalone or paired with the UF8 for even more efficient SSL DAW control. It also serves as an ideal hardware companion to the SSL UC1 controller, adding fader control and easy access to SSL 360° channel strip parameters, as well as visual feedback on EQ curves. For optimal SSL controller setup offering a full SSL virtual console workflow, combine up to four UF8 units with UC1 and UF11.
