The Solid State Logic Super 9000 is a single-channel analog channel strip (19" / 1U) based on the architecture of SSL SL 9000 J/K and Duality studio consoles. This device provides the characteristic SSL sound (clarity, detail, openness) and is designed for signal processing during recording and mixing.
Integrated into the module are: a microphone preamplifier with a choice between SuperAnalogue and VHD (Variable Harmonic Drive) modes, a dynamics processing section built on VCA THAT 2181A, a four-band equalizer with switchable classic Pink Knob (292) and Black Knob (242) schemes. The construction is fully balanced, without capacitors in the signal path, minimizing phase distortion and noise.
Key feature - flexible module routing with the ability to use EQ and filters with sidechain, as well as apply VHD to the linear signal (Input Flip). The Insert function allows you to connect any external processing device, and the built-in switch allows you to place this external device before or after the Channel Strip's equalizer and dynamic section. Stereo linking (Link) of two modules is supported for paired operation, avoiding stereo image shift.
