Under the gain controls on both input channels, you will notice the Legacy 4K button. This feature helps to liven up dull sound during recording by adding slight harmonic distortion and high-frequency boost. Both processes are analog and based on the sound of legendary and classic SSL 4000 series consoles, hence the name 4K.
