The Solid State Logic SiX, built on 40 years of experience of legendary SSL large-format consoles, is a 6-channel desktop mini-mixer super analog with the high-quality SSL sound signature, powerful analog processing, and versatile configuration that allows for use at home, in the studio, or on the go. It features two mono input channels, each with a console-grade SuperAnalogue microphone preamp with phantom power, high-pass filter, and up to 72 dB of gain, as well as a line/Hi-Z 1/4" input and two stereo input channels. The mono channels come equipped with one-knob compressors, 2-band EQ, and balanced inserts for flexible internal and external processing, and all channels feature smooth 100mm faders.
Fully equipped to act as a hub during recording sessions, the SiX comes with a 3-pin XLR talkback microphone input with selectable phantom power and LMC (SSL's signature Listen Mic Compressor for microphone monitoring), 45 dB of gain, and adjustable output level. Dedicated feedback buttons allow for sending feedback signal to one of two cue buses or both, which can be sourced from the cue signal path or external inputs. Connect the 1/4" foldback outputs on the rear panel to headphone amplifiers, and the control room headphones to the headphone jack on the top panel.
Upon completion of the recording process, this desktop console provides summing for up to 12 inputs during mixing. With a stereo G-Series bus compressor on the main mix bus, pre-fade mix insert, and an alternative B bus (great for parallel compression mixing), the SiX excels at handling the most demanding mixing styles. Additionally, its extensive monitoring section allows for setting up two sets of monitors, selecting the sound source, and easily accessing mono, dim, and cut functions.
The SiX is a compact professional console suitable for use in the studio, in post-production, on stage, and for podcasting. Offering the big console sound and an impressive set of utility features in a small enough format to fit in a bag and take anywhere. The SiX provides two recording channels with SuperAnalogue™ microphone preamp, a version of the classic SSL Channel Compressor with one knob, a new two-band EQ, and 100mm faders.
On the main mix bus, there is a version of the legendary G-Series bus compressor with two knobs and a unique Listen Mic compressor on Talkback. In mixing mode, it is a highly capable summing system of twelve channels, delivering analog details, depth, and width to your mixes.
The signal path is fully balanced, except for the headphone output. It delivers clean, detailed sound with a wide dynamic range, ultra-low noise and distortion levels, and superior quality.
