MADI to Coax Converter from SSL
MADI (Multi-channel Audio Digital Interface) is an audio format that can transmit up to sixty-four audio channels over a single cable. It is available in two different connection formats - optical SC or coaxial BNC. The MADI to Coax Converter from SSL is a convenient format converter designed for bidirectional conversion of up to sixty-four audio channels between the two formats.
On the front panel, there is one set of optical input and output SC connectors and one set of input and output BNC connectors. The rear panel features a two-pin connector for connecting an internal power source. The conversion takes place in real-time without delays or loss of audio quality. Additionally, the device can be used to increase the cable range from 50m provided by the MADI coax format to 2km for the optical MADI format.
