Deceptively simple, extremely effective
The SiX CH is a single-channel 500 series strip utilizing the SuperAnalogueTM channel processing features found on the SSL SiX console, including microphone input, low and high frequency equalization, and a one-knob compressor.
Super analogue
Using the same technology as the SiX and SSL large-format consoles, the SiX CH features a SuperAnalogueTM microphone preamplifier providing a wide gain range and ultra-low noise level. It is clean, fast, and powerful - the perfect preamplifier for any source material.
SSL high and low-frequency equalizer
The six-band equalizer is a classic SSL-style two-band equalizer with a smooth wide curve and high and low-frequency filters at 3.5 kHz and 60 Hz, with a gain range of +/-15 dB. Each band can independently switch between shelves and bell curves. Bell curves adjust the central frequency to work at 5 kHz and 200 Hz, providing greater versatility with two control elements.
Channel compressor
A one-knob channel compressor with features that deliver powerful and versatile performance thanks to deceptively simple controls. It uses SSL's tried and tested feedback scheme, program-dependent attack time, and automatic gain to maintain signal levels.
TRS line input
The front panel TRS line input makes it easy to add instruments or use the six channels as a multifunctional summing module. The nominal resistance of the line input is 10 kΩ, which can be changed to 1 MΩ using the Hi-Z switch. The 1 MΩ resistance makes this input suitable for sources with very high resistance, such as passive guitar pickups, without the need for an external DI box.
