Foreign Tongues is a new studio album by The Rolling Stones, released on July 10, 2026, via Polydor Records. The record comprises 14 tracks and is presented as a substantial 2LP vinyl collection. It was recorded over the course of just a few weeks at Metropolis Studios in London, with production by Andrew Watt. Joining Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood on the project are Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, and Chad Smith. Of particular note is the contribution of Charlie Watts; the album features one of his final recordings, captured before his passing in 2021.
The musical palette of Foreign Tongues spans rock 'n' roll, blues-rock, and contemporary rock, all while maintaining The Rolling Stones’ signature guitar-driven sound. The opening track, "Rough And Twisted," sets an energetic tone for the album, while "In The Stars" stands out as a key track and was released as a single. The tracklist also includes some unexpected nods to musical history: a cover of Amy Winehouse’s "You Know I'm No Good," and a closing rendition of Chuck Berry’s "Beautiful Delilah."
The vinyl edition is designed for a comprehensive listening experience across four sides: the first six tracks appear on the first disc, with the remaining eight on the second. This standard edition is pressed on heavyweight 180-gram black vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve. With a total runtime of just over an hour, Foreign Tongues is perfect both for focused, immersive listening at home and as a prized addition to any vinyl collection.
For fans of The Rolling Stones, this is a particularly interesting release: it captures another chapter in the band’s history while simultaneously maintaining a connection to the musicians who have defined its sound for decades.
