The MK2 version features several improvements, including a redesigned top panel and a reinforced, sturdy, and heavy construction with optimized damping. Also, the metal buttons now come with increased responsiveness and tactile characteristics.

The turntable is equipped with a high-quality direct drive motor, quartz stabilization, and a precision-crafted aluminum die-cast platter. Unlike belt drive models, the RP 2000MK2 transfers force directly to the drive. Therefore, the higher torque allows for faster startups with minimal wow & flutter.
The ability to adjust the pitch within a range of +/- 8% is suitable for fine tuning. The turntable features a statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with a hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. The RP 2000MK2 comes with the OM Black cartridge, and thanks to the universal SME connector, you can connect many other cartridges. The needle has adjustable illumination.
