Unlike direct drive turntables, the RP-1000 MK2 uses a belt drive motor that separates the drive from the precision disc and chassis. The elastic high-quality rubber belt absorbs and reduces unwanted vibrations, ensuring distortion-free playback. The adjustable tone arm height regulator within the +/-10% range is suitable for precise tone height adjustments.
Static Balanced S-Shaped Tonearm
The RP-1000 MK2 comes with a statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with hydraulic lifter and anti-skating mechanism. Thanks to the universal SME connector, a wide range of interchangeable cartridges can be connected.
Touch-sensitive Screen and Robust Housing Construction
The new dark-black top panel is equipped with metal buttons for start/stop and speed adjustment. Improved touch sensitivity provides clear tactile feedback. By pressing a button, the aluminum target light can be extended to view the needle position in the dark. The robust construction with optimized damping properties and shock-absorbing feet improves isolation from unwanted vibrations.
