The ability to replace the stylus in an MM cartridge significantly simplifies turntable maintenance. After such a replacement, you essentially get a new cartridge, without the need to adjust the position of the stylus on the shell. The replacement stylus for the MM cartridge, 2M Silver, has an elliptical shape. It is designed for a tracking force of 1.6 to 2 grams and provides a tracking ability of 70 µm (315 Hz).
Belts on vinyl players tend to stretch and lose elasticity over time. This can lead to speed instability and sound distortions. Therefore, belts should be replaced in a timely manner.
