This model is a continuation of the Debut series. Engineers from the company have added a couple of features to this model. The first feature is the enlarged size of the chassis. The answer to why it was enlarged lies in the second feature - a 10-inch S-shaped aluminum tonearm.
The chassis of the Pro-Ject Debut PRO S turntable is made of MDF to achieve better vibration isolation. The chassis is manually coated with an 8-layer finish at the factory. The player's body is resistant to mechanical damage and looks fantastic. The Debut PRO S is easy to level on the surface with height-adjustable metal feet.
The S-shaped aluminum tonearm of the Debut PRO S has height (VTA) and azimuth angle adjustments. These adjustments allow for the installation of any cartridges with SME mounting on the turntable. The player comes with a pre-installed MM cartridge Pro-Ject Pick It S2 C.
Pro-Ject Debut PRO S is equipped with a solid aluminum support disc, on which an internal damping ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is applied to dampen unwanted vibrations and resonances. This approach also increases the mass of the disc and positively affects the smoothness of rotation. The support disc is accurately balanced for stable rotation.
The model uses an aluminum sub-platter made using diamond cutting. The motor in the Pro-Ject Debut PRO S is mechanically isolated from the chassis to eliminate vibrations. The model is equipped with an electronic switch for disc rotation speed. To switch from 33 to 45 rpm, simply press a button.
