The Pro-Ject A1.2 vinyl player features automatic record playback control, making it an excellent choice for many audiophiles. Automated control
By pressing the start button, the tonearm of the Pro-Ject A1.2 automatically moves to the beginning of the record. During subsequent playback, the automation is fully turned off and does not affect the sound. The entire construction is completely mechanical, without electronic components, so the sound quality is not compromised.
Solid Chassis
The Pro-Ject A1.2 chassis has no internal voids. Its significant mass minimizes unwanted resonances and isolates the player from external influences.
Damped Supports
Thanks to the internal silicone damping layer, the supports effectively isolate the Pro-Ject A1.2 from the surface it is installed on. This is essential for a Hi-Fi player, as it eliminates the impact of external interference and resonances on record playback.
Light Aluminum Tonearm
The Pro-Ject A1.2 features an 8.3-inch lightweight aluminum tonearm. It comes with the Pick it MM E cartridge, fully matched to the tonearm for precise and dynamic sound. The tracking force and anti-skating are factory-adjusted, allowing the A1.2 to be set up for listening to records in just a couple of minutes.
Carbon Composite Shell
The A1.2 tonearm shell has a new design specifically developed for this model. It is made from a polymer reinforced with carbon fiber, making it resistant to vibrations while keeping weight to a minimum. The composite material provides excellent resonance damping.
Aluminum Support Disc
The new Pro-Ject A1.2 player comes with a cast aluminum disc. The disc is further processed on a CNC machine for precise balancing. The motor in the Pro-Ject A1.2 player has electronic speed stabilization. Switching between 33 and 45 RPM is done with a single button press.
Built-In Phono Preamp
The presence of a built-in phono preamp simplifies connecting the Pro-Ject A1.2 to a Hi-Fi system. If you wish to use an external preamp, you can disable the player's internal circuitry.
